After winning a comprehensive odi series against Australia 4-1. The Indian team is all set to carry their winning momentum forward in the coming t20 series against the Aussies from 7th of October.
After the successful series it seems that Virat Kohli is happy with his current squad as there are only few changes made for the T20 squad. Only three new players were included as compare to the odi series squad.
The left arm pacer who now consider as one of the t20 specialist, Ashish Nehra joins the team for the T20 series.
With him, wicket-keeper Batsman Dinesh Karthik was also included in the fifteen members squad. He was the part of the champions trophy 2017 squad but didnt get any chance to play. So he got an opportunity to make his mark into the permanent squad as he had a wonderful IPL 2017.
The inform opener Shikhar Dhawan after missing out the odi series is also included in the T20 series.
But still after the inclusion of three new players, Indian t20 specialist in a long run were been ignored.
Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina failed to make a place into the T20 squad. Even Ajinkya Rahane after having a wonderful series with the bat against the Aussies failed to get a place in T20 squad.
While Australian made five changes to their T20 squad,thus shows how badly they want to win this series.
The 3 match T20 series will start from 7th of October in Ranchi. Next two matches will be held in Guwahati and Hyderabad on 10th and 13th respectively.
